Adesa Golden Gate Charity Golf Tournament
Shadow Lakes Golf Course, Brentwood, CA
Friday, August 15th
Well, we finally got together and golfed in a scramble tournament for the first time in years. The
tournament was held at Shadow Lakes in Brentwood, CA. Joe, Josh, and Junior played great and
got us to -8 for the round. We ended up finishing around 10th place out of 34 foursomes and probably
would have finished higher if A) Mr. Smith would have contributed somethng, B) Junior's wrist wasn't
injured, and C) we weren't pencil-whipped so bad.
That's the downside to playing in these type tournaments and probably why we rarely do so. We know
for a fact that the teams behind us and ahead of us were not putting down the correct scores as it was
backed up quite a bit and we "casually" took a glance at their scorecards. Oh well, Junior won a $50 gift
certificate and I won a $100 certificate. Joe for once didn't win anything in the raffle and Josh took off
early and wasn't around for it. Here are some pics of the day:

Junior & Josh chillin' in the cart while waiting for teebox to clear

Joe and his usual shit eating grin

Josh hits a rare shot to the right... see the guys in the upper right corner?

Josh beaned the guy in the head..he's ok, but pretty funny!

The boy chillin' out and avoiding the sun...well, some of them did

Dumbass Junior didn't avoid it so well! Wear visor, use sunscreen !

Par 4 taken on hill to the right of teebox - island type green

same, but close up of green - tough second shot - I was only one safe for once
All in all, it was a fun day and it was for charity, so this time I'll forgive Josh and Joe for giving me
so much grief about how bad I was playing out there.

p.s. Check out the Oobgolf Tournament results by clicking on the menu. I'm starting to update it
as we go along so hopefully it will be fairly up to date. I've also created a menu listing for our own
regular River City Hackers tournament.
